The Word of God tells us we are to help Christians who are members in our congregations that are having a really tough time. 

The greatest need in the world today is Jesus Christ and Salvation. There are people around the world without Bibles, including some pastors. SBN ( Sonlife Broadcasting network has a bible Thon every month where they receive donations for Bibles to send to countries that the Christians receive free of charge, and they are so ever grateful. We need to have Christians equipped with the Word today.

So if you have a few dollars to spare you can call it in every month when the Bible Thon is on. 

  We need to pray for our own citizens. Many are facing very hard times with the economy spiraling up out of control. Many can't feed their families, put gas in the car, pay heating bills etc.
